Weight loss can only be done with strict calorie counting. Without this, the person just eats more to compensate the energy lost to due to exercise or other activities. Going on a quick weight loss actually means more energy loss, which means more exercise, with less calorie intake. This leaves a wide gap between energy requirement and available nutrients.
